Palworld is an enormous game with countless unique resources to collect and use in crafting and construction, so much so, unfortunately, that it can become overwhelming. Here is how to get and use Pal Souls in Palworld, a rare resource that leads to more questions than answers.
Where to Get Pal Souls in Palworld
To get Pal Souls in Palworld, you need to explore the world to find the occasional RNG drop on the ground or do battle with specific Pals in the game, including:
Pal | Soul Type |
---|---|
Daedream | Small Pal Soul |
Nox | Small Pal Soul |
Cawgnito | Small Pal Soul |
Maraith | Small Pal Soul |
Tombat | Small Pal Soul |
Felbat | Small Pal Soul |
Helzephyr | Medium Pal Soul |
Anubis | Large Pal Soul |
These Pals mostly appear at night and are of the Dark-type variety.
That said, alongside finding them on the ground and hunting down certain Pals, you’ll occasionally loot Pal Souls when opening the various chests scattered about the game world. I’ve had the most luck using the Copper Key on locked chests instead of those open to the player.
How to Use Pal Souls in Palworld
As a monster-catching game focusing on battles and exploration, you want the most formidable team of Pals imaginable in Palworld, right? There are numerous methods to strengthen your party, including leveling up your Pals in combat, crafting, or resource-gathering trips out into the wild.
However, one of the more profound ways to strengthen a Pal is via Pal Souls. These Souls, along with a Pal Essence Condenser, will help improve a Pal’s abilities by combining powers from other types of creatures in the game. Unfortunately, it does mean sacrificing one Pal, but you can always catch more.
As you progress, you’ll wind up requiring bigger Pal Souls. They start out Small, then reach Medium and Large. The stronger your Pal, the bigger the Soul necessary.
When you’re out farming Pal Souls, ensure you can bring everything back to base by increasing your carry weight capacity.
