How to Farm Mystic Spheres in Final Fantasy Origin

There’s a lot going on in Stranger of Paradise Final Fantasy Origin’s equipment systems. Sifting through drops, comparing stats and deciding what to dismantle is a big headache. But, frankly, it’s all necessary to make the most out of your builds. You don’t normally need to pay attention, but once you start getting your red, five-star drops you’ll start to see items you haven’t run into before. Items like Mystic Spheres, which you’ll need a ton of eventually.

In order to get Mystic Spheres, you simply have to dismantle specific five-star weapons. Makes upgrading one seem like quite a task, huh? But yeah that’s the long and short of it. Dismantling five-star armor gives you a different set of materials, which are parallel to what you get from weapons.

Materials for upgrading are confined to equipment dismantling, which makes keeping track of stuff easier. No need to run around in different levels looking for specific enemies for farming. To get spheres, and this applies to all rarity levels, you need to dismantle the following weapon types:

  • Swords
  • Greatswords
  • Daggers
  • Knuckles
  • Axes
  • Katana

That’s most of them, but not all of them! But really, you don’t need to worry that much about this stuff if you’re just playing through the story. Using five-star materials before the postgame, if you’re interested in exploring that, is ultimately kinda wasteful. But it’s really up to you!
