How to Change FOV in Dead By Daylight

Let’s face it, there have been plenty of times we’ve lost out on a 4K because we just couldn’t spot a Survivor. Thankfully, Behaviour is giving us the option to change our Field of View, so let’s find out how to use this to our advantage.

How to Change Field of View in Dead by Daylight

Players should know that this feature is exclusive to the upcoming PTB that is coming on January 9, 2024, with a full release scheduled for future release. Once players have downloaded and swapped their version of Dead by Daylight to this particular version, they’ll have access to the FOV Slider by visiting the Beta Tab in the menu screen. To access the Settings menu, you can either press Options/Start on a Controller, or by pressing the ESC Key on their Keyboard.

Under the Beta menu, the FOV slider will be available. Survivors should take note, however, that this change is currently only available to different Killers, so they will not be able to adjust their FOV at this time. It is unclear if this change will also be available to Survivor mains in the future. After selecting the FOV you’d like to use, click Apply and return to the match to test out your new FOV.

With this function arriving in the PTB, we can only expect that it will be available with the next numbered update due to be released later in January alongside the newest chapter of the game. You can see all of the expected changes in the January Developer update put out by the team at Behaviour. There are plenty of changes coming to the game, but it seems that the option to tweak our FOV is one of the most major, outside of buffs and nerfs to our favorite killers.
