Easiest Killers To Play in Dead By Daylight

With over 30 different choices available to you, you’ll need to make the right selection to get your grips with your new role. Thankfully, we’ve gone through and found the easiest killers to play for new gamers and even those that want to try something a bit different. Here are our choices for the five easiest killers in the game.

5: The Huntress (Moderate)

The Huntress is the perfect breaking point between easy-to-play and hard-to-master. As one of the killers with an excellent throwable weapon, you’ll find yourself making excellent shots from across the map if you can master her unique style. She also possesses a great set of Perks, with Beasts of Prey being the standout here. While in a chase, if you enter Bloodlust status, Survivors can no longer sense your Terror Radius and Red Stain, making you almost impossible to notice. If you’re playing Survivor, keep an ear peeled out for the haunting tune she hums along the way.

4: The Cannibal (Moderate)

Bubba Sawyer has a bit of a bad reputation within the Dead by Daylight community for being a hook camper, but you can’t help but want to show off your unique cosmetics when you’re playing with him. Brandishing a chainsaw and a mallet, you’ll have access to one of the most busted M2 attacks in the game, which increases your speed and could lead to a four-man down if you play your cards right. His Perks also put him on this list, as Franklin’s Demise is easily one of the most infuriating perks to encounter as a Survivor. You get hit, and you drop your item, simple as that.

3. The Wraith (Easy)

Isn’t it awful when Survivors can see where you are on the map? Wouldn’t it be great if you could cloak yourself and hide under the guise of near invisibility? Well, if that’s the case, The Wraith may be perfect for you to play as. Not only do you turn almost completely invisible, but your Terror Radius is minimized to the nth degree, making it almost impossible for players to spot you. Sure, you’ll need to ring your bell to get back into the natural plain and attack, but this sneaky strategy is incredibly useful if you play your cards right. His perk Bloodhound makes it easier for you to track bloodstains left behind by injured survivors, so you always know where to look.

2: The Trapper (Easy)

The face of the game, and for good reason. The Trapper is iconic, not only for his ease of use but for his incredible design. Not only will you be able to inflict fear in any Survivor you encounter, but your alternate skill will allow you to trap portions of the map, capturing any wandering Survivor in your Bear Traps. If you put them in unsuspecting areas, you can end a chase with ease. Using perks like Brutal Strength will give you the perfect opportunity to catch up to a quick survivor and break through Pallets like they were made of styrofoam. The Trapper is a great first killer and someone that only gets better with use.

1. The Legion (Easy)

Taking it back to my starting days, I figured I was going to be a Legion main forever. Not only does he have some of the best cosmetics in the game, but he’s also one of the fastest and most brutal Killers currently available. With your alternate attack sending you into a Frenzy, you can attack plenty of survivors at once, and if you’re lucky enough to tag all four at the same time, you’re in for a treat. Their perk Discordance can help you track down some pesky Survivors working on Generators, so you know exactly where to hone into.

Here’s the thing that is beautiful about Dead by Daylight. While these Killers may be a great stepping stone into the game, it all boils down to personal taste and preference. Personally, I went from playing Legion to Clown, and it reinvigorated my love of multiplayer gaming after discovering how I liked to play.
