How To Catch an Eel For Maui In Disney Dreamlight Valley
If you haven’t crafted the fishing trap yet, that’ll be your first step. To make a fishing trap, you need three worms and eight softwood. You’ll find softwood scattered around the Plaza and Peaceful Meadow, while worms are found under dirt mounts in Peaceful Meadow.

After gathering plenty of worms and softwood, head to a crafting station and make a Fishing Trap. Navigate to “Furniture” to find them! With your newly-acquired trap in hand, bring it to the Dazzle Beach dock and place it nearby.
After notifying Maui that you’ve placed the fishing trap, he’ll tell you to wait for an eel to appear. Upon returning to the docks, you may wonder what exactly is supposed to happen next. The simple answer? Wait for the orange circle!
An orange, bubbling circle will appear near the fishing trap once an eel is in the vicinity. Cast your line out and go through the regular fishing minigame to get it! Afterwards, return to Maui before burying it on the beach. From there, wait until your coconut tree finishes growing! Thankfully, you won’t have to wait very long.
