Ages in the Resident Evil series can be rather confusing. Characters can look about 20-30 while in reality being 50, leading to some natural confusion regarding ages. Take Chris Redfield for example, who (slight spoilers here) is 44 at the end of Resident Evil 7 but looks 30. Then, in Resident Evil Village, looks like he’s aged 20 years when it’s only been about four years. Leon Kennedy is a similar case between his recent remake outings, though thankfully some concrete details can help us. Here’s how old Leon is in the Resident Evil 4 Remake.
What is Leon’s Age in the Resident Evil 4 Remake?
Leon’s first appearance comes with Resident Evil 2 alongside Claire Redfield, taking place in 1998. With Leon’s canonical birth year being 1977, this would put him at 21 years old for the events of that game. Resident Evil 4 takes place around six years later, thus making Leon’s age in the Resident Evil 4 Remake around 27 years old. That’s a hard one to discern since RE2 makes him look young and the RE4 remake makes him look around 20 years older.
That hasn’t stopped Leon from gaining a wide range of skills in a short six years though. Following the events of RE2, Leon was hired by the government to become part of STRATCOM. This gave him extensive military training for several years, alongside a deeper understanding of the evil lurking behind the Umbrella Corporation among others. If you had to go through what he’s been through, chances are you’d look a decade older at 27 as well.
