Ragnarok is upon us! The new God of War is arriving on PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 consoles on November 9, 2022. As we count down the days until the release of one of the biggest games this year, many players are wondering how much space on their SSD (or HDD, if they are still on last-gen, poor souls) they will have to free up before embarking on the new adventures of Kratos and Atreus. How Big is God of War Ragnarok?
If you have already pre-ordered the God of War Ragnarok digital version, the preload will start on November 2, 2022, and the size of the game will depend on the PlayStation system you are downloading the game for and the region as well.
The digital download of God of War Ragnarok for PlayStation 4 will take around a gigantic 107GB while the PlayStation 5 version will take around 84GB, due to better compression options.
Because of additional local language support the EU digital versions will be even bigger! Digital download of the PlayStation 4 version in the EU will be around 119GB, and PlayStation 5 version will take around 100GB.
And that is only for the 1.01 version, it is unknown will the game have a day one patch and how big it will be – but, one thing is for sure, you will need to clean up some space for the biggest God of War game yet!
