After multiple delays, reboots, controversies, and more, the highly unique indie game Goodbye Volcano High finally has a concrete launch date. The story-driven title from KO_OP, which features anthropomorphic dinosaurs in a high school rock band was revealed all the way back at the 2020 PlayStation Showcase, alongside other since released indies such as Bugsnax, Kena: Bridge of Spirits, Solar Ash, and Stray, among numerous others. Goodbye Volcano High Release Date
Goodbye Volcano High will officially arrive on August 29, 2023. The release date has been a long time in the making, as the story-driven game was originally slated for a 2021 launch. Now, barring another surprise delay, it seems Goodbye Volcano High will finally be playable near the end of Summer 2023.

Goodbye Volcano High Platforms
Goodbye Volcano High is coming to PC, PS4, and PS5. As of this writing, the new title will not be launching on Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, or Xbox Series X|S. However, a later release on these platforms is certainly possible, but there is currently no information when/if the game will ever be available on Nintendo or Xbox consoles.

Goodbye Volcano High Explained
According to the game’s description, “Goodbye Volcano High is a cinematic narrative adventure about love, change, and the end of an era. Guide Fang through their final year of high school as they try to make things right before time is up.” Based on its trailers, Goodbye Volcano High combines interactive story elements similar to the Telltale series, with a visual novel style, and rhythm/music gameplay, set in a world of human-like dinosaurs.
