The Texas Chainsaw Massacre will launch on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S. As of this writing, there are no plans for the game to release on Nintendo Switch. While Leatherface has appeared in a variety of other games, including Dead by Daylight and Mortal Kombat X, this marks the first new videogame release from the franchise in forty years, following 1983’s controversial The Texas Chainsaw Massacre for the Atari 2600.

According to the game’s official description, “Take on the role of one of the notorious Slaughter family, or their victims, in The Texas Chain Saw Massacre, a third-person asymmetrical horror experience based on the groundbreaking and iconic 1974 horror film.
