Going from a filler-like patch with little to no new content, Genshin Impact heads straight forward into a new, bigger update complete with new areas, bosses, characters and quests with the arrival of “A Parade of Providence”, better known as the 3.6 version.
With a new main event set in Sumeru and the late arrival of the final Desert expansion, the usual Special Program stream gave us a glimpse of what’s coming in just a few days while also providing us with those sweet Primogem codes. Let’s run it down.
Upcoming Banners and New Characters in Genshin Impact 3.6
Baizhu and Kaveh are the new additions to the ever-growing character roster. While Baizhu is a 5-star Catalyst pure healer with tons of protective capacities, Kaveh is a 4-star Claymore user with a Reaction-based kit, having a huge emphasis on Bloom.
But both won’t appear right away as the version drops. The first half will be composed of Nahida and Nilou rerun banners, alongside their signature weapons in the Weapon’s Banner.
Baizhu will only be starring during the second half, where he’ll share the spotlight with Ganyu as the other 5-star. Kaveh will be included in this banner too, something we don’t see very often with new 5 and 4-stars.
Following the update, Kaveh will be added to the standard character pool just as every other 4-star before him. Baizhu’s not following Dehya steps though, and he’ll remain a limited character for the time being.

All New Events and Features in Genshin Impact 3.6
The main event in “A Parade of Providence” is the namesake celebration, which focuses on the Akademiya Extravaganza festival in Sumeru. All of the Akademiya-related will be present as the main characters, and those end up being more than half of Sumeru’s playable cast.
Players can redeem a free Faruzan as the main reward, who’s one of the many characters having the main spotlight in this event. As per usual, there are also lots of Primogems, Mora and other rewards obtained by completing the event’s various activities and minigames.
All side events are desert-based to celebrate the new area. You’ll be protecting some mechanisms and defeating Wenuts in Fulminating Sandstorm, while Brewing Developments is another combat fest with special rules.
Recollectors’ Path uses the new gadget obtained in the new area (which we’ll talk about further) to train us into using it. There’s also another Leyline Overflow rerun, this time for Talent Books.
New Genshin Impact 3.6 Content, Bosses and More
As for Story content, we get Baizhu’s first Chapter with his debut, and Nahida is also getting her Chapter II just like previous Archons. Her quest unlocks the new Dendro Dragon Weekly Boss as well, so be sure to complete that as soon as possible. Layla is also getting her own Hangout Event in this update.
We have the Anemo and Hydro Hilichurl Rogues, a new human-like Hilichurl type who wanders around the map as new regular enemies. They will often be found helping their fellow creatures, but they don’t belong to any specific tribe.
As we’ve previously mentioned, the final Desert area in Sumeru is finally here. It features new exploration mechanics, items and, of course, various new enemies for us to face.
We also see the introduction of the aforementioned Dragon of Verdure Weekly Boss, complete with three phases for us to defeat. And there’s also a new regular World Boss with a powered-up version of an Abyss Herald wandering in the desert, harnessing the power of three different elements in battle.
We’re also getting two brand-new Artifact Sets in Nymph’s Dream and Vourukasha’s Glow. The former is another Hydro-related set, probably made in advance for the future Fontaine characters, while the latter seems to be aimed at Dehya specifically, but may see use on quite a variety of characters.

Genshin Impact 3.6 is set to be released on April 11, and pre-load will be available a few days before. This is bound to be a bigger update, so be sure to download it earlier.
