Fire Emblem Engage has finally arrived, Nintendo’s legendary tactical JRPG got a new mainline sequel that amazed us all with its quality and many homages to the series’ rich history. However, some players are already wondering if the Fire Emblem Engage has a New Game Plus mode. Let’s find out.
Does Fire Emblem Engage have New Game Plus?
The answer, for now, is – No, it doesn’t. Fire Emblem Engage does not have a New Game Plus mode, at least not at launch. This is very unusual as previous Fire Emblem games had this mode, where players could carry over their progress to a brand new go-around through story mode but with tougher enemies.

However, there is no such mode for now in Engage, but as extensive post-game support has been announced in the form of an Expansion Pass with as many as 4 DLC packages that will be published by the end of 2023, there is a small chance that some of them will add the New Game Plus mode. Or, maybe the New Game Plus will be added outside of the DLC, through a regular free update patch. For now, none of this has been confirmed, so take it with a big Fell Dragon-sized grain of salt.
Until the situation with New Game Plus in Fire Emblem Engage becomes clearer in the current post-game, you can replay a few missions, but if you want to experience the complete, very linear story again, you will have to start the regular new game and do it all over again without progress transfer.
