Once the credits roll, you may be eager to get back into the world of Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth to finish every side story and mission available to you. Does this game offer a New Game Plus option, or do you need to start from scratch once again?
Does Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth Offer a New Game Plus Mode?
If you’re ready to jump back into the action that Rebirth brings to the table, you’ll be happy to know that there is a New Game Plus mode available to jump into, but it’s not listed as it is in other games. Once you have beaten the game, rather than starting fresh, you can carry over your saved data into the Chapter Selection option that appears on the menu.
This means that you can go through and engage powerful enemies like the Thunderclaw without having to fret, as you’ll have plenty of powerful equippable Materia that can Pressure and Stun them without much of a hassle. Characters, relationship statuses, Materia, and equipment will all carry over, but side mission progress may reset if you were in the middle of something.
It also pays to note for those hoping to get every trophy that Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth has to offer — it may be more beneficial to play the game on Hard rather than focus on New Game Plus. Certain Trophies will only unlock on Hard Mode, so even those playing on Dynamic Difficulty may need to do a second playthrough if they’re looking to fill up their Trophy shelf on their PlayStation 5 consoles.
