With the Diablo IV beta test in full force, people playing are tearing this game apart. And by that I just mean everyone’s trying to figure out how it works. There’s a lot of stuff that just isn’t clear, for one reason or another. For example, hop into the Diablo IV subreddit and search “couch” to see a whole dumpster fire of confusion. Couch co-op is something relatively new to Diablo as a series, and we can confirm it’s present in the beta. But is it present for everyone? Here’s what we know about whether or not Diablo IV has couch co-op on PC.

Does Diablo 4 have Couch Co-Op on PC?
Unfortunately the answer is a resounding “no.” It seems like couch co-op is a console-exclusive feature for the time being. And it seems to be restricted to two players, rather than the four you could have in Diablo III. That’s what happens when videogames get too beefy, I guess! But regardless of the couch co-op woes console players are having, PC players will have to stick with online or LAN-connected multiplayer. It just be like that here, as per usual. As far as whether or not that’s a permanent “no” or if couch co-op could be possible in the future for PC players, you’ll have to stick to keeping an eye on official communication from Blizzard.

Diablo IV, couch co-op and otherwise, is set to arrive on PC and Xbox One and Series X|S, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 on June 6, 2023. The beta testing is live now and will last this weekend, then run again next weekend. You can get access either by preordering Diablo IV, or by uh, going to KFC and getting a Double Down? Videogames always find a way to be stupid, no matter what.
