Trees are one of the most important things in Sons of the Forest when it comes to resources and building. You need trees to build your house, to build walls, furniture, and quite a few tools and weapons. Naturally, when you perform a complete deforestation of your surroundings, it gets absolutely tedious to drag logs across half of the island no matter what you do and no matter how many logs our good ol’ friend Kelvin drags, so the question comes to mind: When will all those trees regrow? Do trees grow back in Sons of the Forest at all? Let’s find out.
Do Trees Grow Back in Sons of the Forest?
You will be delighted to know that trees indeed grow back in Sons of the Forest. But, there is a small catch. Once you knock the tree off (without yelling “timber” for known reasons) please, do not “execute” the tree stump that remains behind. If you do so, that tree will never regrow. If you leave the stump be, the tree will naturally regrow within a week, and Kelvin will probably cut it down again if you have written him an order to do so, so you might not notice them regrowing sometimes.
Sometimes, some players experience a situation where trees do not regrow. It’s expected that this will be addressed in one of the following updates.
