Using the information you gathered before, you’ll have to answer Maui’s questions correctly to proceed. Below are each question and the correct responses:

  • Question One: What is my official title?
  • Answer: Maui, shapeshifter, demigod of the wind and sea, hero to all!
  • Question Two: What did I, Hero to all, bury to make coconut trees?
  • Answer: Eels!
  • Question Three: What power do I get from my fishhook?
  • Answer: Shapeshifting!

Once you’ve answered each question, Maui will inform you that Moana’s canoe has some debris behind it that you’ll have to clear out first. While you typically can’t do this with your regular pickaxe, you can rest assured that Maui will upgrade it for you! Best of all, this upgrade carries over to your life in the valley, meaning you’re permanently able to break a new debris type!

With your upgraded pickaxe in hand, head to the canoe and break the large, blue eggs around it. Once you have, return to Maui to wrap up the quest, unlocking another for Moana afterwards.
