Destiny 2 Red Hot Iron Quest – Defeat Opponents with Sidearms and Auto Rifles

To complete the Destiny 2 Season of Arrivals Red Hot Iron quest, players will need to rack up 25 kills with a sidearm and 25 kills with auto rifles in Crucible matches. Doing so will earn them The Path Forward and The Fools Remedy, two fan-favorite weapons. If you’ve played Crucible matches in the past, you’ll likely know that it’s not getting auto rifle kills that’ll be the hard part, it’s the sidearm kills that might take some time.

To quickly complete the Red Hot Iron quest in Destiny 2, specifically the sidearm portion of the challenge, we suggest trying to deal damage with a primary weapon and then switching over to a sidearm to get the kill. For example, if you hit an enemy with a grenade launcher first, you’ll be able to deal a good amount of damage up front and then can put a few rounds into them with a sidearm to get the kill. Additionally, as much as I hate to say this, if you’re desperate you can also mooch off of your teammates, giving them the assist and taking the sidearm kill for yourself.

As far as the auto rifle portion of the Red Hot Iron quest goes, you’ll want to use whatever gun you’re comfortable with. One fan favorite seems to be the Gnawing Hunger, but really any gun will do the trick. Like we mentioned above, this won’t really be the hard part of the challenge. When you’ve gotten all of the necessary kills, head to the Tower and visit Lord Saladin for your rewards.

The Iron Banner event will wrap up on July 7 and will be immediately followed by the Moments of Triumph event. This will last all the way through September and will lead up to the Beyond Light expansion later that month. In case you missed it, Bungie recently announced three new expansions for the game which will support it through 2022.
