With the CDL 2023 season starting on December 2, it was just announced that Twitch would get exclusive access to the matches, which means some new rewards. As the initial matches kick off for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, viewers can rack up some watch time and collect fresh Twitch Drops.
Many games on Twitch, especially games with a professional league, will receive rewards as fans invest their time. These incentives are given out as Twitch Drops, and there is plenty you can earn for MW2 and Warzone 2. We’ll go over how you can claim the CDL Twitch Drops and what those rewards are.
CDL Twitch Drops – Rewards and How to Claim
Each event weekend will have a different set of rewards for fans to claim, but we’re going to focus on the opening weekend. The CDL 2023 season begins on December 2 at 3 pm ET. The Major I opening weekend will run until December 4, and each day will have a new set of Twitch Drops.
Every 30 minutes to an hour of time watched on your Twitch account will net you a new reward tier. The games will be streamed on the official Call of Duty Twitch account, so as long as you’re logged in and watching this channel, your viewing time will be logged. However, it’s important to have your Activision or Call of Duty account connected to your Twitch account.

Your Twitch account will record your rewards regardless of the connection, but to claim the Twitch Drops, you’ll need to have the game connected. You can get this done by going to the Twitch Drops inventory of your account and clicking on the “connect” option. This will bring you to a login screen for Call of Duty where the accounts will connect. Below you can find all of the rewards for Major I opening Weekend of the CDL 2023 season.

- 1 Hour Double XP Token – 1 Hour
- CDL Smokes Emblem – 1 Hour 30 Minutes
December 4 Sunday
- Handing Out and L Animated Emblem – 1 Hour
- Call of Duty League Chopper Skin – 1 Hour 30 Minutes
As the weekend goes on, you can earn additional Double XP and Double Weapon XP tokens for every 2 hours of watching. This will carry over to the next event weekend as well, so there is no need to sweat this aspect of the CDL Twitch drops. Just keep the stream rolling and watch the rewards trickle in.
