When Does Shipment Release in Modern Warfare 2?

The camo grind will get even faster.

by Daniel Wenerowicz

Infinity Ward released the Modern Warfare 2 Season 1 roadmap in early November and we knew that Shipment would officially release sooner rather than later. However, we had to start with Shoothouse and wait for the Call of Duty 4 map to drop later in the season.

Also known as a reloaded update, the mid-season update is guaranteed to bring the Shipment map along with a new weapon and potential balance changes across the board. You may be itching to start causing chaos on one of the smallest maps ever and the good news is that the wait won’t be long. We’ll go over when you can expect the next map and other content that will follow.

Modern Warfare 2 Season 1 Reloaded – When Will Shipment Release?

In the content blog for Season 1, Infinity Ward already confirmed that Shipment would be available in the mid-season update arriving in Modern Warfare 2. They didn’t confirm an official date, but has that ever stopped the community from deep diving to get ahead of the information? Based on release dates for Raids and the Chimera, Season 1 Reloaded appears to be releasing on December 14, 2022.

Larger updates and patches for Modern Warfare 2 have already set a standard of Wednesday releases and that won’t change here. Patches will likely start going through the day before and players can get their games ready for a range of content the next day. If Shipment does release on December 14, that means there’s about one month between the initial season drop and the reloaded update.

We have yet to get full information on what the update will be called, but in the past three years, reloaded was always the name of the mid-season additions. Along with the Shipment classic map, players can expect to see the Chimera assault rifle, the new Raids mode in co-op, and some fresh operators to spice up the game. We’ll have more guides on the way so you can earn the new weapon as soon as possible.
