Best Weapons For Standard and Ranked in FragPunk

Discipline or Fever?

There’s an arsenal of weapons available in FragPunk and all of them have advantages and disadvantages. Some are better used with certain Lancers while some are amazing when specific Shard Cards are active.

However, some weapons are always good and new players would do well to master these weapons first. Here’s our list of the best weapons in FragPunk.

Top Weapons to Use for Standard and Ranked Play in FragPunk

Fever

The Fever and the Discipline assault rifles might feel and look familiar to their counterparts in games like Valorant and CS2. These do seem to be intended to play like the Phantom & Vandal and the M4A1-S & AK-47.

One is more accurate and easier to control while the other packs more punch while being harder to control, and this is the same for the Fever and Discipline in FragPunk. While neither weapon can one-shot players in the game, the damage still significantly differs.

The Fever only needs two shots to the head regardless of the range, while the Discipline needs three. That puts the Fever above the Discipline as the best assault rifle in the game.

Mad Dog-S

The Mad Dog-S boasts a decent fire rate of 759/min while having better damage than its counterpart. While it falls short on TTK (time to kill) compared to the Clampdown because of the Clampdown’s absurd fire rate, the Mad Dog-S is an all-around SMG where you can even win against assault rifles and marksman rifles in mid-range fights.

Bad Reputation

The Bad Reputation is slightly better than the Bad Moon S marksman rifle because it can one-shot players from 0-15M when hit in the head. Since they are both semi-automatic marksman rifles, there isn’t a great difference compared to the Bad Moon S since it has a slower fire rate and lower magazine size.

Since most players play to trade their teammates when pushing sites and angles, there are times when the Bad Reputation’s magazine size and fire rate might put you at a disadvantage, especially if you aren’t within 15 meters from the target. Both are good, but in the end, the Bad Reputation is only better because of its one-tap potential.

Highlife

The Highlife sniper rifle has a 0.25 sprint to fire but only does 150 damage with body shots 0-8 meters away. That’s a short range, especially compared to the Resolver’s 150-damage body shot 0-17 meters away.

However, you become more mobile using the Highlife because of the sprint-to-fire speed, allowing you to shoot and run for cover before peeking an angle again. It has the same playstyle as using bolt-action sniper rifles in fast-paced games, forcing you to quickscope when taking fights instead of holding angles.

The Resolver isn’t bad too. The ability to one-shot torsos with a sniper rifle is nothing to scoff at. In this case, both sniper rifles are pretty balanced in the game.

Meat Maker

The Meat Maker is one of the most annoying weapons in the game, which conversely makes it one of the strongest, too. The Meat Maker one-shots enemies from close range at a decent rate. Since the pellet spread is tighter in close-quarters battles and the additional pellets compared to the Boom Broom, it is actually easy to one-shot enemies since you can hit the torso or stomach area and still get the kill.

However, it is a pump-action shotgun so there’s less room for mistakes. The Boom Broom is better for flanking, especially when using the best Lancers like Kismet and Zephyr.

Clampdown

The Clampdown has almost twice the fire rate as the second or third-highest fire rate weapons in the game. It is one of the fastest time-to-kill automatic weapons, and can still finish off players even if your aim is a bit awry. If you hit the torso or stomach area, you will eventually kill the target.

However, it poses a risk since you can run out of ammo quickly. When fighting multiple enemies, killing more than one target with one magazine is no easy feat. Also, if you start spraying off-target, you might not even get a single hit already need to reload. Once you master the weapon, it could be your go-to automatic rifle for maps with many tight and close angles.
