As one of the earliest light machine guns in Modern Warfare 2, and the only weapon on its platform, the Sakin MG38 is a fantastic way to get accustomed to the class. It has a ton of ammo capacity, decent mobility for the category, and plenty of control to help with sustained fire.
One of the drawbacks to the Sakin MG38 is the damage on each shot when compared to other light machine guns. But that negative can be balanced out when we lean into control and range. We’ll go over all of the attachments you need within this loadout guide for the Sakin LMG.
Modern Warfare 2 – Best Sakin MG38 Loadout
Most light machine gun builds are similar to assault rifle builds with a bit more recoil control involved. It’s expected that you’ll be more stationary so mobility enhancements also aren’t as important in this case. With that said, below you can find all of the attachments you need.
- Receiver: Sakin MG38
- Barrel: Bruen Silver Series Barrel
- Muzzle: Lockshot KT85
- Underbarrel: VX Pineapple
- Rear Grip: Bruen Q900 Grip Wrap
- Optic: Cronen Mini Pro
The barrel slots are our first focus for this light machine gun loadout, and they are based on helping the damage range of the Sakin. Both the Bruen Silver Series Barrel and the Lockshot KT85 muzzle will help with range and ensure that the recoil control is super high.

Next, we want one more control so the VX Pineapple underbarrel is placed on the weapon. This grip is typically one of the best for overall control whether it’s hip fire or ADS. With the attachments listed above as well, the recoil pattern on the Sakin MG38 will be much easier to follow in Modern Warfare 2.
Two final attachments are the Bruen Q900 Grip Wrap and the Cronen Mini Pro optic. The Bruen grip is there for some ADS speed to help balance out everything else. You can use a laser with more ADS instead of the optic if you like the iron sights, but that’s subjective.
