Best Role in Jeff’s Winter Splash Festival Event in Marvel Rivals
So many Jeffs!
Jeff’s Winter Splash Festival event is back, and this time, it’s brought some new roles for Jeff to Marvel Rivals. Instead of solely being a Strategist, Jeff can also now slot into the Vanguard and Duelist roles within this special game mode.
With three different versions of Jeff to choose from, it can be tricky to decide which role you want to play. The right one will help your team secure a victory, while the wrong one may allow another team to dominate. If you’re not sure what to pick, here’s the best role to play in Jeff’s Winter Splash Festival in Marvel Rivals.
All Jeff’s Winter Splash Festival Roles Ranked in Marvel Rivals

Jeff the Land Shark can slot into the Vanguard role as a Painter, the Strategist role as a Keeper, or the Duelist role as a Striker in Jeff’s Winter Splash event. His skillset changes drastically depending on which type of Jeff you choose to play.
Across all roles, Jeff maintains his Hide and Seek ability, which allows him to duck underground, swim around rapidly to heal, and leave behind a paint trail wherever he goes, and his It’s Jeff! ultimate, although this move has slightly different effects depending on which role he’s in. Regardless, his ultimate is the least effective and important part of his kit across all roles, so it’s the other abilities you should focus on.
Here are all of the roles you can choose from in the Jeff’s Winter Splash Festival event ranked from best to worst, so you can choose the most effective options to help out your team.
1) Painter Vanguard Jeff

The Vanguard version of Jeff, which is called the Painter, is easily the best role overall. As the name hints, Jeff absolutely excels at painting the map with all of his moves while using the abilities he gets with this role.
His main attack, which is Snow Splash, dominates the board, as he’s able to consistently unleash an endless torrent of spit, both for covering the ground with your team’s color and for quickly taking out any enemy Jeffs who come for you.
Jeff’s best ability with this role, though, is his Sprinkler Spin, which is as fun as it is effective. When this move is activated, Jeff will start spinning around rapidly, allowing you to paint the surrounding area in a circle while also damaging any enemies who come near you. You can move around while using this ability, which makes it quite easy to quickly cover large areas.
2) Keeper Strategist Jeff

The second-best role for Jeff in this mode is Strategist, where he works as a Keeper. His Blasting Bubble main attack is solid, allowing him to spit out a series of bubbles that explode after a short time, damaging nearby foes while also painting the area.
Strategist Jeff’s other unique ability is Avalanche Ball, which is capable of causing quite a lot of chaos when used right. You can charge this move to create a snowball that Jeff jumps on top of and rolls around on. As he moves, the ground is painted with your team’s color, and any foes you run into are caught inside.
When the snowball breaks, it deals area of effect damage and unleashes a burst of color. It’s quite effective for quickly covering lots of the map while also hindering your enemies.
3) Striker Duelist Jeff

Jeff just wasn’t meant to be a Duelist, and that’s totally okay. While in the Striker role, Jeff is at his weakest, with abilities that just don’t do much for the team and take a lot of work to use effectively.
His primary attack is Frozen Spitball, which spits a small ice shot that launches enemies and paints the ground along the way. It feels the least effective at covering the ground, which is your top priority in this mode. If you’re more interested in bugging the enemy teams to help your teammates succeed, it’s useful, but generally, it’s better to choose one of the other roles to focus on the true main objective.
Jeff’s other special ability in this role is Glacier Barrage, which can be charged up to spit out multiple ice bombs that paint the ground and deal damage against enemy Jeffs. It’s powerful when you fire, but the amount of time you have to spend standing around charging it up feels like such a waste when you could be covering so much more ground with either of the other roles. It ultimately doesn’t do enough to make up for the time you waste charging it, which is why Duelist Jeff is the overall worst choice.

If you’re looking for a break from the winter chaos, you might try chipping away at some Marvel Zombies tasks next, like beating Nightmare Four, crafting the best Blade build or the best Jeff build, and defeating Zombie Scarlet Witch.
