Best Marvel Zombies Blade Build in Marvel Rivals

From vampire killer to zombie slayer.

Although the Marvel Zombies mode has a limited roster of playable units, you’ve got access to some of the best of the best in Marvel Rivals. Blade is one such character, and is one of the strongest heroes you can use if you outfit him with the right build.

When built right, Blade is an unstoppable, truly immortal zombie-killing machine capable of finding greater success than all other characters featured in this mode. Crafting his build carefully is essential for success, though, so here’s everything you need to know to make the best Marvel Zombies Blade build in Marvel Rivals.

The best Blade build in the Marvel Zombies mode is one that’s entirely built around his Ancestral Sword ability, as this weapon is by far his most effective tool against zombies, and keeping your Lifesteal up. You want a build that is focused on massive damage output that can be delivered swiftly, while also ensuring Blade stays alive, so focusing on Blade’s sword and Lifesteal capabilities makes this possible as long as you choose the right build to go with them.

To find success as Blade in this mode, focus on staying in the Bloodline Awakening state and spinning around with your Ancestral Sword to accumulate Lifesteal. Your priority is to stack up a massive health bar and dish out a ton of damage while doing so.

Best Abilities for Blade in Marvel Rivals Zombies

While most character builds need a heavy focus on choosing the right skillset to find success, Blade’s abilities are generally unimportant compared to the rest of his kit, as the two main skills you need to focus on don’t come into play here. It’s still a good idea to choose the best of the available abilities, even if you’ll barely use most of them, so here are the ones to choose.

  • Iron Caltrops – When Blade shoots his gun on the scene, a slow zone is created, capturing nearby enemies for a bit. It’s a nice ability, but one you likely will almost never see, as you should be focusing solely on using your sword for the majority of the round.
  • Nocturnal Harmony – Can unleash an Ankh that targets and follows an enemy when Blade is wielding his gun and strikes them with it. You won’t really touch your gun in this mode, so you probably won’t get much use out of this, but all abilities you can select in this category are focused on this weapon, so this is your best option of the available choices.
  • Lunar Wrath – When Blade uses his ultimate, talons from the hand of Khonshu appear around him to attack enemies. This increases your overall damage output as you’re already wreaking havoc with your ultimate, allowing you to be as effective as possible.

Best Traits to Upgrade for Blade in Marvel Rivals Zombies

Go all in on Blade’s Ancestral Sword Trait path, which is the red one. There’s essentially no reason to spend any points at all on the blue Daywalker Dash path, as your main focus should be making your sword as powerful and potent as possible.

Best Khonshu’s Blessings for Blade in Marvel Rivals Zombies

For Khonshu’s Blessings, you primarily want to focus on the red ones, which are those in the Swift Execution category, and General Blessings, which are the purple ones. You can avoid the blue Blessings almost entirely..

  • Blade Dance (red)
  • On the Hunt (red)
  • Fatal Route (red)
  • Edge Extension (red)
  • Sweeping Edge (red)
  • Sacrifice Sigil (blue)
  • Vampiric Vitality (purple)
  • Full Moon (purple)
  • Vitality Boost (purple)
  • Power Surge (purple)
  • Moonlight Protection (purple)

Blade Dance and Sacrifice Sigil are the two most important Blessings to grab. Blade Dance allows Blade to spin endlessly with his sword, allowing for an absurd amount of damage output, while Sacrifice Sigil has a chance of generating Ankhs that pull enemies in. You’ll also really want lots of Moonlight Protection to decrease the damage Blade takes, as you’ll be spinning around in one place a lot, which means you might be hit a few times if enemies manage to sneak up close to you.

When built right, Blade is by far one of the best characters in Marvel Zombies. He’s a great hero to run if you’re struggling to get through the tough boss fights featured in this mode, as he excels at dishing out high damage against both Zombie Namor and Zombie Scarlet Witch.
