Best Items to Sell at the Flea Market in Escape from Tarkov

A real get-rich scheme!

Escape from Tarkov has an extremely volatile economy. The game has hundreds of useful items for questing, crafting, fighting, surviving, and more. The use of several items can temporarily skyrocket the price of an item. Still, a few items have historically increased in price, giving experienced players an easy way to get money by stockpiling them until they unlock the flea market. Here are some of the best items to sell for many Roubles at the flea market in Escape from Tarkov.

As a disclaimer, any items in the game are volatile in price. The price of an item can drastically go up and down overnight. However, each item on the list will explain why it will go up in price. If they don’t increase in price, you can wait until they skyrocket before you sell.

Note: Auxillary Items are items needed for crafting but don’t get consumed or disappear once the craft is finished.

Holodilnick Barter Items – Hot Rod, TarCola, Herring, and Squash

The Holodilnick is a crucial inventory/stash management item everyone strives for in the early wipe. Since the Holodilnick isn’t rewarded in any quests like Injector Cases, Weapon Cases, Ammunition Cases, and others, players can only barter for them.

Players cannot buy the Holodilnick with money, so it is guaranteed that the barter items for the Holodilnick will increase drastically from time to time. The Holodilnick can hold food and drink items, including Moonshines, in the late wipe, so they will always be used for the Holodilnick.

The barter items needed are:

  • 10x Hot Rod
  • 5x TarCola
  • 5x Herring
  • 5x Squash

Most of these are uncommon to find, but Squash and Herring, historically, always have the higher price (50,000-80,000 Roubles).

MRE Ration Pack (MRE)

Once players unlock Peacekeeper and go through his task lines, they will reach the Humanitarian Supplies close to when they hit level 15 to unlock the flea market. Humanitarian Supplies require players to give five MREs to Peacekeeper. However, these MREs don’t need to have the “found in raid” tag on them, meaning players can buy five from the flea market and hand them over to Peacekeeper.

Since most players use their starting MREs when playing, they don’t tend to get enough MREs for the quest. They are quite rare to find, meaning they could be expensive for a short time when most players are on the Humanitarian Supplies quest.

Video Cassette (Prokhodimec)

The SureFire SOCOM556-MINI MONSTER 5.56×45 sound suppressor is needed to finish Gunsmith Part 7. Since the suppressor unlocks at Mechanic (level 3), players can’t buy the suppressor using Roubles. So, players could use the Video Cassette barter from Skier (level 2) to get the suppressor and finish Gunsmith Part 7.

Since the Gunsmith task series is essentially a money dump for more extra experience points, players are more than willing to dump some money to gain more progression. Once you reach Gunsmith Part 6, players need to wait almost a day to unlock the next Gunsmith task since the task series has a cooldown after Part 5. Because of the cooldown, players also prioritize finishing these tasks, making some weapon parts expensive on the flea market.

Corrugated Hose Crafting – Silicon Tubes, Wires, and Insulating Tape (Blue Tape)

The Lavatory needs 1 Silicon Tube, 3 Wires, and 3 Insulating Tapes to craft two Corrugated Hoses. These corrugated hoses are extremely important when upgrading hideouts. Since players need Corrugated Hoses to be “found in raid” to upgrade the hideout (patch 0.16 change), the crafting items for the Corrugated Hoses will surely skyrocket more than those of previous wipes.

Silicon Tubes will surely be the most expensive because they are a bit rarer than wires and insulated tapes.

Power Cords

Since everyone will need Wires for their hideout, crafting Wires becomes a priority in the early wipe. Players will need 2 Power Cords to turn into 8 Wires. 8 Wires might seem a lot, but hideout upgrades need way more than these to fully upgrade. Wires are needed for Corrugated Hose crafts, as previously mentioned. There’s also a quest that requires you to turn in “found in raid” Power Cords, which will lessen the supply in the market.

Electric Motor Craft – Electric Drills

Like other items on the list, the Electric Motor is another important item used to upgrade your hideout. However, it takes 2 Electric Drills and 2 Insulating Tapes, along with Screwdrivers and Flat Screwdrivers as auxiliary tools, to craft a single Electric Motor. Electric Drills and Electric Motors are both rare to find, but since you can craft Electric Motors using Electric Drills, players can buy them from the flea market, making them very valuable.

Nixxors Craft – Piece of Plexiglass

Nixxors needs a Tech Manual and a Toolset as auxiliary tools, as well as Wi-Fi cameras and Plexiglass to craft. Since auxiliary tools don’t get consumed when crafting and Wi-Fi cameras can be bought from a trader, Plexiglass is the only item that can skyrocket in price for the Nixxor craft.

Security level 3 needs 8 Nixxors to upgrade, but eight might not seem a lot to keep the price up. However, the rarity of Nixxors in the game will skyrocket the price. After playing multiple wipes, Nixxors have spiked to around 120,000+ Roubles each.

Defibrillator Craft – Portable Powerbanks

A Defibrillator is one of the rarest items to find in the game, and it is also needed for a quest in the mid-wipe. Most players just craft it in their Medstations, meaning they will need Magnets, Wires, Capacitors, and Portable Powerbank to craft one. All of these are common items except for the Portable Powerbank. There might be times when the price spikes from time to time, but it all depends on whether a lot of players are progressing in the game to reach the quest.

Gunpowders and Thermites

Gunpowder Hawks and Eagles start to see frequent use once players reach the middle of the wipe. Once players get their Workbench level 2 or level 3, they’ll start crafting their “meta” ammos using these Gunpowders. Almost all Gunpowders will see some use for ammo crafting. Thermites will depend on the number of players reaching Tarkov Shooter 7 to unlock the 7.62x54mm R BT ammo craft.

Generally, it is much later in the wipe. However, Thermite is also used as a barter for some cheap Ammo Cases from Mechanic. Players need 2 Thermites and 2 Gunpowder Eagles to get one Ammunication Case from Mechanic. Players need to finish Gunsmith Part 5 to unlock this barter, though.
