All Christmas Tree Locations in Escape from Tarkov | Hide in Plain Sight Quest Guide

Rats have a new favorite location.

Escape from Tarkov’s 0.16 wipe might be the weakest content update ever, but at least we get a Unity engine upgrade and a Christmas event. Multiple Christmas Trees have spawned across six maps in Escape from Tarkov, and you’ll need to visit each one to finish the Hide in Plain Sight quest from Ragman. Since you get the quest early (around level 3), it’ll help fast-track your progression if you finish the Hide in Plain Sight quest along with the other starter quests. Here are all the Christmas Tree locations in Escape from Tarkov.

Complete Christmas Tree Locations in Escape from Tarkov

The Hide in Plain Sight quest is immediately available at the event’s start. You can accept the task from Ragman, and you’ll need to visit all six Christmas Tree locations on these maps:

  • Lighthouse
  • Customs
  • Reserve
  • Interchange
  • Shoreline
  • Woods

While there might be several Christmas Tree spots in specific maps, the one you are looking for is the one big Christmas Tree with several tiny huts or wooden sheds near it.

Customs Christmas Tree Location

In Customs, the Christmas Tree is near the Sniper Roadblock and the Smuggler’s Boat Ex-Fil. A PMC spawn is nearby, so you might get lucky by spawning near this point. If not, be careful when approaching the area, as PMCs who get the spawn might camp it.

Lighthouse Christmas Tree Location

The Lighthouse Christmas Tree is near the bus stop and supermarket, beside the main road. Just before reaching the bridge to the Water Plant (main road), you’ll immediately see the tiny huts and the Christmas Tree. If you are playing as a BEAR, you should be careful of the Rogues that might shoot you from the guard towers. Use the huts as cover to avoid being shot.

Shoreline Christmas Tree Location

The Shoreline Christmas Tree is in the hottest spot in Shoreline, the Resort. Luckily, you don’t have to go inside the Resort. You just have to reach the outer part near the entrance. The Christmas Tree is on the west wing side of the Resort, which you can enter from the main entrance near the helicopter. If you are coming from the back of the resort, you can circle to the bus stop to avoid being seen by people inside the Resort already.

Reserve Christmas Tree Location

The Reserve Christmas Tree is conveniently placed near the pawn buildings and the helicopter pad. Early in the raid, you might want to hold off on running to the tree because it could be dangerous. You can wait until many PMCs have fled to the bunker side. Several PMC spawns are nearby, so it’ll be extremely dangerous to stick around. You can also try finishing the Back Door quest if you already have one.

Interchange Christmas Tree Location

The Interchange Christmas Tree is located at the fountain near the main entrance of ULTRA. As some of you might remember, this spot is also where you stash the Gzhels when you get the quest from Ragman. This spot is much safer the longer you are in the raid. Since most players will aim to go inside the mall, the outside is relatively safer after a few minutes.

Woods Christmas Tree Location

The Woods Christmas Tree is located inside the Sawmill. You’ll be open in all directions, so stick to all the covers wherever you go. Scavs also frequent the area, and PMCs will come from all directions. If you aren’t confident surviving in Sawmill, you should just run through the area and ignore the loot.
