Condors are peculiar, elusive, and picky creatures, and what you choose to feed it can have an effect on your rewards. Here’s the best food to feed the condor in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth (FF7).
What Food to Choose for the Condor in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth (Dreaming of Blue Skies)
If you’re trying to find the best food for the condor in the Dreaming of Blue Skies side quest, there’s really only one answer. And that’s bovine meat. Any other option will give you less than perfect results.
When you encounter the Mystic Dragon in its cave, you’ll have to defeat it. Doing so will then allow you to pick from three food options:
- Bovine Meat
- Monster Meat
- Peculiar Greens
The bovine meat comes from the cow that has been hunted down for the condor this entire time. Select the bovine meat and return to the Condor viewpoint. Your reward will consist of the full 10 Party Exp and a Well-Composed Photograph of the Condor. The old man will also compliment the photographer on such a fantastic photo. This photo will be added to your collection, and you’ll be able to see it in your treasure trove once you hit Chapter 7 and complete a certain side quest.
If you select monster meat, Cloud will dress down the Mystic Dragon. You’ll then present the purple monster meat to the Condor for its meal. The quest giver will note that he’s worried about the effects such meat will have, but the Condor will still arrive and you’ll still get the picture. But it will simply be a Nice Condor Photograph. You’ll only get half, or 5, party exp.
Similarly, if you select the peculiar greens, the quest giver will express worry about the Condor coming. But it will, and it will seem to eat the vegetables. A win for the vegetarians and vegans, but a lackluster meal for the Condor. Like the monster meat, you’ll get a Nice Condor Photograph.
The differences in reward are minor, but you can get the full party exp and best condor photograph by selecting the bovine meat, as the quest giver originally wanted you to.
With that done, you’re spoiled for choice on what to do next. You can clear out the monsters around a lighthouse and saving a useless mercenary or beat the local Queen’s Blood champ.
