The quick answer to the question of whether there’s crossplay in Back 4 Blood is yes, there is. Back 4 Blood supports crossplay between all Xbox, PlayStation, and PC platforms, meaning you can play with your friends even if they’re playing on a different platform than you.
Confirming this is a tweet from the official Back 4 Blood account on Twitter which reads:
“We’re in this shit together! Enjoy Crossplay and Cross-gen in the #Back4Blood Open BETA with intended support at launch!”
Now that you know crossplay is supported, it’s worth noting that you may need to check and make sure crossplay is enabled in Back 4 Blood before you’re able to take advantage of it.
To enable crossplay in Back 4 Blood, you’ll need to head to the game’s Matchmaking Preferences. At the bottom of the options for Matchmaking Preferences, you should see an option for Crossplay.
If this Crossplay option is toggled Off, you’ll need to switch it to On in order to have access to crossplay in Back 4 Blood. And that’s all there is to it!
To recap, Back 4 Blood does support crossplay between all platforms. You may need to make sure crossplay support is enabled, which can be done by viewing the game’s matchmaking options and toggling crossplay from Off to On.
Back 4 Blood is set to release on October 12 for Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC (Steam, Microsoft Store, Epic Games Store).
