All Armor Trims in Minecraft 1.20 Snapshot
As of now, there are 11 armor trims in the newest Minecraft 1.20 snapshot, 23w04a, that you can customize with ten different resources. This gives us over 100 combinations, ranging from quartz-colored trims to diamond and Netherite. All 11 armor trims use the following materials to change their color:
- Iron
- Redstone
- Copper
- Gold
- Quartz
- Amethyst
- Emerald
- Lapis
- Diamond
- Netherite

With all that said, below is a list of every armor trim in Minecraft:
- Spire Armor Trim: Rarely found in End City chests.
- Snout Armor Trim: Found in Bastion Remnant chests. You may also spot a Netherite Upgrade smithing template!
- Sentry Armor Trim: Found in Pillager Outpost chests.
- Tide Armor Trim: Dropped from Elder Guardians at Ocean Monuments.
- Dune Armor Trim: Found in Desert Pyramid chests.
- Ward Armor Trim: Rarely found in Ancient City chests,
- Eye Armor Trim: Found in Stronghold altar and library chests.
- Wild Armor Trim: Found in Jungle Temple chests.
- Vex Armor Trim: Rarely found in Woodland Mansion chests.
- Rib Armor Trim: Rarely found in Nether Fortress chests.
- Coast Armor Trim: Found in shipwreck chests.
It’s important to note that these spots are not guaranteed to drop armor trims every time. While some chests have around a 20 percent chance of spawning these smithing templates, others are as low as five percent. You may have to visit a specific structure multiple times before you find your first armor trim!
