The Cabaret Minigame is Coming Back to Like a Dragon Gaiden The Man Who Erased His Name

The Cabaret Minigame is Returning to Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name

You can erase your name but not the passion for cabaret management

The Yakuza series, now called Like a Dragon, has always been known for crazy mini-games that are extremely fun and well-designed. One of them is the full management simulation of the Japanese hostess club or cabaret from Yakuza 0 and Yakuza Kiwami 2. In this mode, you would dress up the hostesses and send them to the tables to earn money, as well as compete with rival clubs with, of course, an underlying Yakuza plot in the background.

Since this mode was missing in the newer sequels, many fans were happy with the news from Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio the that the cabaret management mini-game is returning in Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name.

So what exactly is Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name? It’s a continuation of Kazuma Kiryu’s story, a spin-off game that will arrive in 2023 for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series S|X, and PC. This spin-off title will be chronologically placed between the events at the end of Yakuza 6 and the upcoming game Like a Dragon 8, with Yakuza Like a Dragon in between. Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name will bring back the action approach to the gameplay, with real-time battles, and the now confirmed return of the cabaret mini-game further assures us that this will be a real throwback Yakuza experience, even if it is somewhat shorter.

Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio recently presented a long-term plan for the Yakuza series at the RGG Summit event, which will now also be known in the West under the original name Like a Dragon, which includes a remake of the samurai spinoff game Like A Dragon: Ishin! (February 21, 2023), Like A Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name (sometime during 2023), and Like a Dragon 8 (2024).
