PlayDead Games really created something remarkable when it released the spooky platforming/puzzle game Limbo a while back for PlayStation Network and Xbox Live, but the company’s only just getting started on its innovations.  The team announced that it is already hard at work on its next game, simply known as Project 2, and that the game will utilize the Unity engine, which means that it could become a lot easier to port across platforms, meaning that both PlayStation and Xbox could see it down the line.

But there’s a catch – the project is still a ways away from release.  PlayDead game director Arnt Jensen, speaking with IGN, stated that Project 2 is at least two years away from release, with a lot of time and effort going into it.  “We took a financial risk to release Limbo only when we felt it was ready and we are prepared to do so again,” stated Jensen.

While we’ll have to wait a while for this project to emerge, it’ll be well worth the effort if it’s anything like Limbo.  Stay tuned for more details…
