A massive new Animal Crossing: New Horizons leak has been revealed thanks to a recent datamine, here's the tea!

Animal Crossing: New Horizons only just arrived last month but the Nintendo title has already had its fair share of events and new updates. Since these games are notorious for constant reasons to dive back in, it should be of no surprise that the Big N has a ton of plans in-store and a recent Animal Crossing: New Horizons leak that came from a hefty datamine gives us some insight into what could be next coming down the pipeline.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons Leak Details

The latest Animal Crossing: New Horizons leak comes from AnimalCrossingWorld.com and shares some massive changes on the way to islands everywhere. From Crazy Redd’s Black Market to massive upgrades to island staples, there are definitely changes ahead for those that are heads-down in making the island of their dreams.

Crazy Redd’s Black Market

Most players have stumbled upon secluded beach areas by now and at this time, serves no real purpose other than being pretty. That being said, a dataminer has found that the game’s code is named つねきち, which is the name of Crazy Redd which can be seen on the Japanese versions of this character’s Amiibo cards.

According to the find, Redd has a ship that will dock in that little clove with his black market, a store that Animal Crossing players from games’ past are intimately familiar with. Fake art for everyone!

Bushes in Animal Crossing: New Horizons

You get a bush, YOU get a bush, EVERYONE GETS A BUSH! At least that’s what it looks like. According to the datamine, there will be six types of bushes making their return:

Azelea

Hibiscus

Holly

Hydrangea

Osmathus

Camellia

Museum Upgrades

When players finally upgraded their museums from a measly tent to a building filled with wonder, it was an exciting time with an exciting place filled with photo opportunities! But now it looks like the museum is getting even better because it looks like all three levels will have options to upgrade them with style including artwork and other furnishings to make it a truly special place.

The dataminers also found that there will be two additional areas unlocked for the museum including the Museum Cafe and the Museum Shop and from what was found, both areas will run similarly to how they have in previous games like New Leaf.

Vegetables and Foods in Animal Crossing: New Horizons

Harvesting in New Horizons is key, especially when increasing that visitor appeal, but there is so much more to the game’s landscape than just pretty flowers and that appeal is only going to grow with the addition of vegetables and other types of foods making their way in-game.

Tomato

Sugar

Wheat

Pumpkin

Potato

Carrots

It looks like New Horizons is looking to bank on creative more skill opportunities for players while giving them the chance to play the farmer of their dreams. Pretty appropriate considering that overalls drop often in the game from the floating balloons – or maybe that’s just me.

Other new features datamined include:

Seafood Critterpedia

33 items were found outside of the usual Manila Clam used to craft fishing bait.

Diving

This feature will allow for players to catch different kinds of fish that don’t hover at the surface in addition to unique seaweed types.

More Shops

cRealEstate, cGallery, cGardening, cMuseum file names have all been found.

Gifts for Redd?

‘Select an Item’ gifting code found suggests that players will be able to gift items to Crazy Redd.

Cooking

The Play Report feature found generates reports that stem from file names ‘get_recipe_diy’, ‘get_recipe_clothing’, and ‘get_recipe_cooking’. Since the latter isn’t in the game yet, that’s a solid indicator that it’s coming soon.

And there you have it! The massive Animal Crossing: New Horizons leak certainly gives players a lot to think about with potential future updates. While most of this seems like a no-brainer when comparing New Horizons to older games, it is still important to take all leaks with a grain of salt until Nintendo itself confirms the news. Fake finds can always be generated, developer pivots could also delay updates as well or change the plan – there are a lot of things that could make not everything here see fruition but if even half of this list comes to pass, then it’s going to be an exciting post-launch period for the hit simulator game.
