Harvest Moon: One World will give players a “brand-new way” to enjoy a beloved franchise, coming this Fall to Nintendo Switch, as confirmed by the studio Natsume. The latest entry into the series will take what so many loved about its predecessors and make it even better. New graphics, a new engine, One World sounds incredible.
According to a recent press release, Natsume promises that Harvest Moon: One World will be a major step up from previous releases, offering a player experience that both veterans of the series and newcomers alike can enjoy. The studio also promises that One World will offer an experience rooted in a brand new engine, which means an overhauled graphics appeal while still retaining “the traditional, family-friendly farming fun that the franchise is known for.”
We don’t have have a first look at any gameplay or those graphic changes quite yet, but the team did reveal the title and the announcement graphic:
The team also added, “Buoyed by a mysterious discovery, players will find themselves setting out on an adventure that spans not only their hometown but the whole world. What kind of people and places await? From the gorgeous beaches of Halo-Halo to the snowy mountains of Salmiakki, there’s literally an entire world to explore.” It seems exciting for fans that are in love with the farming experience, especially as Animal Crossing: New Horizons love continues to soar, though when we will get actual gameplay remains to be seen.
With Geoff Keighley’s Summer Games reveal event spanning over the Summer and a few other key showcases on the horizon as well, it’s likely Nintendo will be able to share a closer look at Natsume’s new game here soon. For now, we can dream of those Halo-Halo beaches and soothing farming goals.
While we await new Harvest Moon goodness, here’s what’s going on in the world of Animal Crossing lately:
- Animal Crossing: New Horizons meets Pokemon in adorable new fan-created video
- How to get the villagers you actually want in New Horizons
- When are Daisy Mae’s hours in New Horizons?
