Major Patch on the way for Kingdom Come Deliverance 2

Finally, we can get rid of this vanilla haircut!

Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 is the biggest RPG of 2025 so far, and has enjoyed a wildly successful launch. But for the development team at Warhorse Studios, this is far from the end of the story. The official release date for the next big patch has now been revealed.

The release date is set for Wednesday, 12 March, and was announced on their official Instagram.

In the image, we can see Henry sitting down for a nice, relaxing haircut. So it’s pretty clear that soon enough, we’ll all be able to choose our own hair and beard styles for our respective Henry’s. This is a welcome bit of customization, but like many fans of the game, I’m left wondering when we’ll see a hardcore mode.

You see, I’m in my second playthrough and the second time around is far easier, making it a tad boring. A hardcore mode would add so much to replayability. And while Warhorse did show off the hardcore mode in their latest VOD, it’s unclear whether it will be a part of the Wednesday 12 Patch.

According to the roadmap, we can also expect modding support quite soon, but for now, the barber mode is all that’s been confirmed (via the Instagram post above). Modding was also touched on in the above VOD, but no further information is currently available.

We can only hope that modding support and a hardcore mode will follow real soon, as many players eagerly await these key features.

There are also three DLCs planned throughout the year, giving Kingdom Come 2 fans a lot to look forward to. Personally, I can’t wait to see what’s next for Henry.
