Animal Crossing: New Horizons meets Pokemon in this adorably crafted fan-made video and you know what? Crazier things have happened on our islands. This cute new fan-made video blends two beloved Nintendo franchises into one while also giving us something we didn’t know we needed until now: a fully-relaxed Pikachu catching some Z’s on the beach!
The below Animal Crossing: New Horizons Pokemon fan creation comes from YouTuber ‘The Pixel Kingdom’ and shows off their island less concerned about catchin’ ’em all and more concerned with living life to the fullest alongside some our favorite pocket monsters. We also see a difference with who greets islanders as well. The blend is seamless, the Kirbys are adorable, and the island has never been more active than it is in the below video:
No epic Pokemon battles here, just relaxation, friendship, and a jolly good time enjoying the island life! Animal Crossing: New Horizons has been a smash hit since it launched earlier this year with more players than ever seen in the entire franchise’s history. With so many players sharing their islands and experiences, the creative spread among the ACNH community has been fruitful and gives the rest of us amazing new experiences as well as seen in this Pokemon video!
That being said, it’s not all sunshine and roses! You have to watch out for those sneaky Diglet holes and I can’t be the only one a little sad for MagiKarp! OK, it was probably just me, I’m emotional, but still – this video is awesome and a great way to blend two beloved game series into one awesome new adventure – even if it won’t ever become canon. That, and can we talk about the Snorlax body slam because … ouch.
The bright side is that at least players can put their own Pokemon spin on New Horizons with creative designer codes!

- Daisy Mae hours in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, best time to buy!
As for the game itself, sans Pokemon, Animal Crossing: New Horizons is available now exclusively on Nintendo Switch!
