Our friends over at Polygon stumbled upon an adorable feel-good story about one person that took to Twitter to reveal a positive date made possible through the power of Tinder and Animal Crossing: New Horizons. The story begins with Sam, a person who dove into the Animal Crossing franchise for the first time with New Horizons. While the date was adorable, Sam couldn’t help but to tease her date a little bit to the site after she noticed that his date and times were off on his island, meaning that he is a fan of the nifty time-traveling trick that many are so fond of

Sam mentioned to the site that the date was actually really charming, saying that he took her on a tour of her island to show off of all of his creations while also offering her a gift of 63,000 Bells to help her pay off her own island debt. Unfortunately for our mystery boy, she also revealed that though the gesture was nice, it wasn’t enough to keep her attention and she “totally” ghosted him immediately after.

More and more Tinder users  have been coming forward with their own date ideas, and honestly? It’s pretty freakin’ adorable. With the continued spread of COVID-19 and flareups of second waves hitting countries thought to be on the upturn, people are having to get creative with how they spend their professional and personal time.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons released a time when major quarantines started being implemented, which came at a perfect time, and many have been discovering the charm that this franchise has offered through the years for the first time! While these are dark times for many, it is lovely to see the silver linings popping up and the creative ways we as a society are coping with so many rapid-set changes that have been rolling in more noticeably over the past several months.

What are some of the creative ways Animal Crossing: New Horizons has helped you out during this difficult time? Let us know over on Twitter and Facebook!
