The upcoming update goes live on April 22nd and comes with a plethora of additions but the World Maker is arguably the most important and the most fun. While players could create amazing levels within Mario Maker 2, the World Maker addition allows players to effectively create an entirely new game! Players can design a map and combine a ton of courses together to make them intertwined and fully functional. Why wait for a new Mario game when you can just create one?

In addition to the World Maker addition that lets Mario fans make the game of their dreams, the team over at Nintendo also added a few new enemies into the mix in addition to a total of nine new incredible power-ups seen throughout the years such as Super Mario Bros. 3’s Frog Suit and the Power Balloon from Super Mario World.

According to Nintendo, up to eight worlds with up to forty courses can be combined for a creative new experience and even better? Those creations can be shared with others!

But it’s not just the new Power-Ups and world-building, the latest update also adds a new Ninji Speedruns mode that allows players to battle it out to see who can complete courses in the fastest amount of time. It’s amazing to see so much attention given to this title, even if this is the final big update. Nintendo will still be providing support for the game, but this is the latest biggest content drop that players can expect.

Super Mario Maker 2 has sold almost 4 million copies since it first launched in June of last year and since then, it has been giving the gift of amazing experiences with constant updates like a playable Link from Legend of Zelda, more characters, and more course additions.

As for the game itself, Super Mario Maker 2 is available now exclusively on the Nintendo Switch! Thoughts on the new World Builder addition? What is your favorite part about Mario Maker 2 thus far?
