How To Save Levels In Super Mario Maker 2

To save levels in Super Mario Maker 2, you’ll need to be in the Course Maker mode, as you might expect. In Course Maker you’ll have an array of options around the edges of the screen. The Save/Load option can be found on the right side of the screen, as the icon with a robot’s head. Select this button with the D-Pad and A button, or tap it if you’re in handheld mode.

In the menu that pops up, choose Save As in an empty slot, or select Save to overwrite a previous version of the level if you’re updating it. Once your level is saved you’ll also be able to share it using the Upload button. If you ever need to load a different level, or an older version of your current level, this can be done in the same Save/Load menu. Make sure you also test your level using the Play button in the bottom left of the screen to make sure it’s all working as you want it before you upload it.
