An experience within an experience, the ACNH Connect app is essentially Instagram for Animal Crossing: New Horizons fans and people are loving it. Animal Crossing: New Horizons came out at the perfect time: the world was hitting its peak with global quarantines due to COVID-19, and people wanted a calming escape. Since its launch, New Horizons has been an incredibly active community filled with creativity and dedication and now – it’s getting social media.

We’ve covered quite a few creative takes that players have had within New Horizons, which we listed below, because this community is honestly a bright spot in 2020. That being said, with so many customizable options, it’s understandable that people would want any avenue to share beyond normal means, which is where Animal Crossing: New Horizons Connect comes into play, or ACNH Connect. 

According to the app’s official description, “ACNH Connect is designed to make your Animal Crossing: New Horizons journey easier, more fun, and more social.” Users can use the app to track down certain characters, discover new islands, like and share popular recipes, collaborate with unique island design goals in mind – it’s an awesome social expansion that takes the already incredible social game to new heights. 

But missed opportunity not calling it Bellgram or Instabell, just saying. 

The app is completely free to use and has a high user rating for its social options and smooth experience. No glitches, no microtransactions, just pure fandom glory and meeting others that have similar interests. It’s an awesome tool that was created by fans and just goes to show just how dang unifying this game truly is!

Right now, ACNH Connect is only available on the Apple App Store, but it’s totally free so if you have an Apple device, dive right in! As for the game itself, Animal Crossing: New Horizons is available now exclusively on the Nintendo Switch.
