Pokemon has already invaded Animal Crossing: New Horizons once with this adorable fan mashup video that we previously covered, but now a new aspect of this beloved Nintendo franchise is crashing our islands! One player took Pokemon Battles to a whole new level by using villagers and it’s ruthless and perfect.
The latest Pokemon x Animal Crossing hybrid comes from YouTuber ‘The Nooksters’ and they decided to take the battle system of Pokemon and bring it into New Horizons and it is flawless. First, they recreated a stadium on their islands, equipped with a Pokeball emblem in the middle. They also added the original village of Pallet Town and even recreated the original openings for Pokemon Red and Blue. See? Perfect:
Since there aren’t any actual Pokemon in Animal Crossing: New Horizons outside of modding the game, the YouTuber instead pit villagers against each other with epic Pokemon music in the background and the appropriate sound effects as well. This isn’t a sloppy crossover, this was well thought out, and that effort definitely shows:
This isn’t the first time Pokemon will invade Animal Crossing: New Horizons and it certainly won’t be the last. That being said, we’ve got to hand it to the Nooksters; this particular crossover has got to be one of our top favorites, well done!
