The Sims 3 Encyclopedia eGuide Essentials Neighborhoods

Introduction

Depending on which expansion packs you have installed, your Sims have access to up to five towns. In fact, even more towns are available at The Sims Store, but you’ll have to discover those yourself.

Herein, we cover the store inventories and collectibles for Sunset Valley, which came with The Sims 3; Riverside, which is available as a free download; Twinbrook, which came with the Ambitions expansion pack; Bridgeport, which came with the Late Night expansion pack; and Appaloosa Plains, which came with the Pets expansion pack.

Each time you upgrade your game with a new expansion pack, the advances you gain apply to other towns as well. So if you installed Ambitions, which introduced the Sculpting skill, you’ll see Sculpting books in the bookstore of any town.

Ambitions also added four new butterflies to collect, and those butterflies are not only indigenous to Twinbrook. Your Sims can now find those butterflies in Sunset Valley and Riverside as well, plus in any other town you have installed.

And if you installed the Late Night expansion pack, the new fish that were introduced can be fished up from the waters of any other town you have installed.

To make it easier for those of you who have multiple expansions, we’ve combined the total inventories of the supermarkets and bookstores. We’ve also added the the new collectibles to their respective charts.
