Pinch Defense Setups

NICKEL 3-3-5 ODD

3 Sky Wk Show 4 

Setup LEFT:

1. Base align.
2. Show blitz.
3. Crash the D-line down.
4. Pinch the D-line.
5. Global blitz the left-of-screen LB. 

Feel free to hot route the DE on the right of the screen into a man or zone assignment. 

Setup RIGHT:

This setup also works with Cover 3 Buzz Show 2 and Cover 2.

1. Base align.
2. Show blitz.
3. Crash the D-line down.
4. Pinch the D-line.
5. Global blitz all LBs.
6. Re-zone the LB on the left of the screen. 

Feel free to place the DE on the left of the screen into a man or zone assignment. 

Setup for pressure from both directions:

1. Base align.
2. Show blitz.
3. Crash the defensive line down.
4. Pinch the defensive line.
5. Global blitz left LBs.
6. Global blitz right LBs. 

Generally, you want to attack the side opposite the HB and user-defend your weakest area in the secondary.
