When you’re first unlocking your Suppressor early in the game, the easiest way to get Potent Omnium Crystals is by exploring the world. As you complete story missions and side quests, you’ll find them as plot rewards in the Story menu under your Mission Terminal.

Furthermore, as you unlock supply pods, find scenic points and access space rifts, you’ll gain exploration points that go toward getting various rewards, including the crystals. To access each area and the exploration rewards, head to your map and click the region names in the bottom right corner of your screen. You’ll unlock Potent Omnium Crystals at the following milestones:

  • Astra: 440 Exploration Points
  • Banges: 300 Exploration Points
  • Navia: 250 Exploration Points
  • Crown: 290 Exploration Points
  • Warren: 285 Exploration Points

Around the same time you unlock Suppressors, you’ll also gain access to your Wanderer’s Log. While most of the rewards in the log include gold, ore shard boxes, and weapon augment kits, you’ll also gain two Potent Omnium Crystals for reaching character level 18 and more as you venture into chapter two and beyond.

At the beginning of the game, clearing ruins around the world has a chance of rewarding you with Potent Omnium Crystals. Once you progress later in the game, you’ll unlock weekly activities and challenges, including the Bygone Phantasm. As you complete each level, you’ll find rewards such as Booster Modules, Dark Crystals and, in this case, the Omnium Crystals.
