Corphish Pokemon Sword and Shield Location Guide

So, you wanna net yourself a Corphish. This tough little Water-type Pokemon is a good get for any team that’s lacking in that particular Type advantage, so we reckon it’s worth a second look if you don’t already have that spot filled by something like a Sobble.

Corphish have a definite preference for weather that’s, well, wet. It likes the following weather types: Raining, Thunderstorm, Snowing, Heavy Fog, and Snowstorm. This is pretty consistent with its Type, but according to the Pokedex, it’s a Pokemon that can “adapt to the dirtiest river” after escaping to the wild so if the tank at your local seafood restaurant is looking a bit empty then you might want to check out the following locations in Pokemon Sword and Shield to get this beast:

  • South Lake Miloch
  • Galar Mine No. 2
  • Giant’s Cap

The latter two locations are places that you can get Corphish via fishing instead of just bumbling around in the wild, if you prefer an activity with a bit more focus. However, we would note that you’ll be able to catch Corphish of a higher level while fishing (we’re talking between 20 and 28) versus encountering one in the wild (11 to 16), so you might want to whip your rod out for that express purpose.

Now that you have our Corphish Pokemon Sword and Shield location guide in hand, it should be easy to get a crustacean critter of your own. Need help with anything else while you’re kicking around Galar? Here are some tips and tricks that we’ve put together:
