How to Get the Crown of Lucion Unique in Diablo 4

A mini Shako!

The Crown of Lucion unique item, introduced in Diablo 4’s Infernal Hordes season 5, is a popular non-exclusive helm. Most classes can take advantage of its unique effect as long as they are using resources for their build. It is strong enough for most endgame builds, up until you replace it with a Harlequin Crest in the end. However, Crown of Lucion is a hundred times easier to get than a Harlequin Crest, and here’s the best way you can farm it in Diablo 4.

How to Farm the Crown of Lucion Unique in Diablo 4

Crown of Lucion is a general unique item, meaning you can use any class, and it has the possibility of dropping when killing monsters or finishing activities. It should drop more often than those class-exclusive unique items, and there are also ways you can “target farm” it by doing specific activities.

One of the best ways to farm the Crown of Lucion helmet is through finishing Helltides. Go to the region with an active Helltide event, and you want to look for the summoning ritual (the one with the demon icon with horns). Grab and use some Baneful Hearts to summon the Blood Maiden and complete the event. At the end of the event, the Blood Maiden will drop multiple legendary items and hopefully a unique item for your troubles.

The Blood Maiden has a great chance of dropping unique items, but the main reason you are doing this method is because of the Aberrant Cinders. From doing the Blood Maiden event, you’ll get a chance to get a Crown of Lucion and some Aberrant Cinders to open other Helltide chests. The best chance of getting the Crown of Lucion is by opening a chest that only contains Helms. It only costs a few Aberrant Cinders, and you can open at least two of them during the event.

If you are looking to finish other activities to improve your character, such as upgrading Glyphs, you can also farm Nightmare Dungeons. You still have a chance to drop the Crown of Lucion, albeit at a lesser rate, but at least you’ll be upgrading some of your Glyphs.

Crown of Lucion Builds in Diablo 4

Since the Crown of Lucion has Maximum Life and Cooldown Reduction, it is overall a great unique item for all classes. However, you are losing one defensive or utility aspect on this helmet slot, so you have to make use of the Crown of Lucion’s unique effect. For each time you use a skill that uses resource, you gain a stacking damage and resource cost buff (up to five stacks) for four seconds.

Builds like Necromancer’s Blight Minions, Barbarian’s Flay, or Flurry Rogues come to mind. Generally, it is a great unique item since the stats are already great. You’ll replace it in the end with a Harlequin Crest, but only if you have the time to farm that particular Mythic item.
