How to Find the Cargo Shipwreck Caches in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth (FF7)

Get ready to climb, jump, scramble

With so many broken ships on the Junon coast, it’s only natural that some have treasure. Here’s how to find the Cargo Shipwreck caches in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth (FF7).

Cargo Shipwreck Cache Locations in Final Fantasy VII Rebirth (FF7)

Junon bears the scars of its lost war against Shinra, and none are more prominent than the broken ships that line its craggy coasts. But one ship in particular has multiple caches you can find. There are three caches in total. Two are on the ship’s deck, and one is in the remnants of the cabin. We’ll grab the cabin one first, as it’s closest.

When you first encounter the Cargo Wreck, you’ll see a series of storage crates. Climb on top of them and follow them to the center of the wreck to find a chest. It contains a Mist Hi-Potion, which will heal your entire team 700 HP upon use.

Now that we have that, turn around towards the broken half of the ship. There are yellow-marked grips to help you climb the wall.

Climb up to the next floor, then go left. Inside of the far left recess is the second chest. Open it, and you’ll find two Grenades. These can be used to deal 200 physical damage to enemies within range. Great if you’re struggling against an enemy with high defense.

For our final chest, we’ll need to keep climbing. Once you reach the top deck, go West (you can see directions on the radar on top of your screen if you move your camera around). Past the storage crates, you’ll find the last chest. It contains a Salvation Badge. This is the best item here, and it will increase the effectiveness of healing items and spells applied to you when HP is 25% or lower. So, if you’re taking a lot of hits or tanking for your team, it’s a good item to have.

Once you’ve knocked out this cache, swim over to the Castaway Lifespring and unlock the Scars of War Excavation Intel for even more Item Transmutation recipes. Doing so will net you the ability to craft Planet’s Favor and the fantastic-for-magic-users amulet, Psychic’s Charm.
