How to Level Up Quickly

Leveling up your party in Xenoblade Chronicles 2 is extremely important if you want to venture to the furthest reaches of the map, and as you explore the world, you’re going to come across some enemies that are just too powerful for you in your current state. That’s why you will always want to be constantly pushing forward and leveling up as you play, to make sure that you don’t run into any issues as you explore and take in all the sights that the world has to offer.

Earning experience in Xenoblade Chronicles 2 isn’t like most RPGs, where you’ll want to take on a ton of side quests and complete a bunch of fetch quests to level up quickly. Instead, your primary source of experience is going to come from combat itself, which means you’ll want to ready your weapons and head out into the wilds if you want to level up quickly. Of course, you shouldn’t completely disregard the side quests, as they do reward you with bonus XP, which can be redeemed when resting at inns to help level you up quicker. Because of this, we’d suggest mixing side quests and combat leveling as much as possible.

The main goal during combat, though, if you want to earn the most experience from each encounter is to try and keep things brief. The less time you spend in a fight, the more fights you’ll be able to get into, thus allowing you to earn even more experience in a much shorter time. You’ll also want to make sure you are taking advantage of your enemy’s weaknesses to ensure that fights don’t take too long.

Of course, the only real reason to level up in Xenoblade Chronicles 2 is so that you can take on more powerful enemies and explore the vast reaches of the map. Each of the quests in the game aren’t really locked behind level requirements, so that isn’t a huge issue that you’ll run into. You’ll also want to make sure you are resting in an Inn every night after you have been out leveling and gaining experience. This will allow you to receive an additional bonus that can help level up your entire party much quicker.
