Who is Pietro in Animal Crossing: New Horizons?

So, you want to know who Pietro is. You’re probably familiar with that old saying about saying the Devil’s name three times in a mirror and making him appear. Or maybe that’s Bloody Mary. Either way, it’s something that you don’t want to see. If you wake up one blissful morning and head over to your campsite only to be greeted by this particular clown, then we’re sorry to inform you that someone on your deserted island has repeated one too many cursed words into a mirror.

For those who haven’t already become acquainted with this Smug type villager, Pietro is a sheep who literally looks like a clown. Yes, literally. Remember the Joker’s makeup? We’re talking about the Batman villain here. Imagine the Joker’s makeup on someone in a rainbow sheep’s fursuit. That’s who Pietro looks like. If you think about other common clowns in the modern-day canon, you might be thinking about It. Yes, the resemblance is clear, right down to the bright red nose. The point being, Pietro is straight-up terrifying and we don’t know why he exists. However, I suppose you want to know some basic facts about him, so here goes:

  • Pietro gets along with lazy, normal, snooty and peppy villagers
  • Pietro dislikes cranky villagers
  • His house looks like a hall of mirrors (terrifying)
  • His favorite song is K.K. Parade (also terrifying)
  • His phrase is “honk honk”
  • His birthday is April 19, which makes him an Aries
  • He also owns a lot of balloon furniture but conspicuously, no balloon animals

Now that you’ve got a little bit more information about who Pietro is in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, you too can give this clown a wide berth if he rocks up at your campsite honking and hollering at you like some kind of Doomsday herald. We don’t know what it is about Pietro, well, no, we do know what it is. It’s the fact that he looks like It. But regardless, just be careful when dealing with him. We reckon that someone like Gonzo is probably more everyone’s speed, so check out our guide on him if you’re so inclined.
