When Blade was revealed for the lineup, I didn’t think much of it, but a couple of days later Honkai: Star Rail decided to also release their newest Four-Star to debut come their update for 1.2. Introducing Honkai: Star Rail’s newest character – Luka.
Everything We Know About Luka from Honkai: Star Rail
I honestly didn’t expect that Hoyoverse would be so consistent when it came to bringing a Four-Star along each banner that Honkai: Star Rail drops. But it does expand the roster and allow for a diverse set of team builds to be created. It’s all the more exciting when you get to mix and match the new ones to your already-built characters, so what do we have to forward to look in Luka?
This fiery redhead who looks like he stepped out of Ensemble Stars is an ex-brawler from the fighting ring who is a part of the Wildfire group in the Underground. Sad we didn’t get to see him in the main story when we were first on Jarilo-VI, but this just goes to show that we may be seeing ourselves return to the world for either more events or side quests where we may get to see him. He’s got a cheerful and buoyant personality to help boost the morale of those around him.
While we don’t know the specifics this soon, Luka is leaked to be a Physical Damage character who follows the Path of Nihility. So likely his brawling techniques are meant to slow or apply other debuffs to his opponents in battle to help his team get a better edge in the battle. It’s a nice twist to what appears could have just been another Physical Destruction or Physical Hunt build, so if you’re like me, I look forward to seeing what kind of combinations can come from Luka encountering enemies.
