The Call of Duty: DMZ mode was already full of keys in Al Mazrah, and Season 2 only made the loot pool even larger. At this point, it can be hard to tell exactly where you can use some of these items in the Extraction Zones, especially the City Hall Hideout Key.
Some players may stumble upon this key as they explore Al Mazrah containers or Ashika Island points of interest. It can also be earned as a reward through the faction missions, which you’ll need for the whistleblower mission. To get you there faster, we’ll cover exactly where the City Hall Hideout Key can be used in the DMZ mode.
COD DMZ – Where to Use the City Hall Hideout Key
Now that multiple Extraction Zones exist in the game, you’ll have to bring the keys you find to the right map. In this case, players need to deploy to Ashika Island if they hope to use this key. What makes it more difficult to use is that the building we need is found in an area that doesn’t have a major label.
What you’ll be looking for is the City Hall building, which is located on the southwestern side of the island. To easily find the building, look for the Beach Club to the southwest and locate the gas station directly north of the club. You’ll find the City Hall building directly to the east of this DMZ gas station.

There are multiple entrances to the building with plenty of resistance as you make your way through. Once you’re in, you can use the City Hall Hideout Key to access some of the office areas, and this is also where you’ll find the Governor’s laptop for the DMZ Whistleblower mission. Simply grab all your loot and extract out of the zone after you’re done.
