Where to Find the Crossed Wands Dueling Club in Hogwarts Legacy
To reach the dueling club, you’ll have to venture into Hogwarts’ South Wing and go to the Clock Tower Courtyard. The easiest way to navigate here is to look for the courtyard Floo Flame and select it as a waypoint, marking a direct route to the area.
Depending on where you’re starting, you may have to detour a bit to reach this area. For example, starting from the Great Hall will take you through places like the Library Annex and the Astronomy Wing before you make your way to the South Wing.
If you want to get there quickly but don’t have any South Wing Floo Flames unlocked yet, starting in the Astronomy Tower or Library Annex will get you there faster than places like the Grand Staircase or Great Hall.

Once you arrive at the Clock Tower Courtyard, you’ll find Lucan Brattleby, a young student part of the dueling club. You’ll have to speak to him to initiate each part of the Crossed Wands quest line, where you’ll fight against students in duels to discover combos and counterattacks. These missions also allow you to learn about Protego, Stupefy and other spells you have unlocked.
In total, you’ll experience five Crossed Wands missions throughout this quest line: three are regular Crossed Wands sessions where you’ll fight other students, while two teach you about spell combinations using a training dummy. You won’t find all five of these quests right away; Instead, you’ll unlock each stage as you discover more spells and progress through the main story.
