The Team Deathmatch mode is a little buried in the game mode menu in FragPunk. It is actually part of the Battle Rotation playlist, which includes other game modes including Free For All and Glunite Grab.

The three game modes in the Battle Rotation playlist rotate out every 15 minutes, so it is not especially daunting to wait if you only want to play Team Deathmatch. However, Glunite Grab is essentially the same as Team Deathmatch, but with the added rule of picking up enemies’ Glunite after death to score points.

Players can equip three Shard Cards at the start of each match and can change the loadout at any time after death. There are three kinds of Shard Cards in Team Deathmatch: Passive, Skill, and Tactic. Each provides a different way of activating bonuses.

Best Passive Shard Cards

Passive Cards offer bonuses that last the entire match and do not require Shard Points to activate.

  • Lucky Rocket: Chance to fire rocket when shooting
  • Quick ADS: Faster ADS time
  • Shard Thief: Steals a percentage of the enemy’s Shard Points on kill

Best Skill Shard Cards

Skill Cards can be activated for free, but often have cooldowns before using again. Your Lancer’s original abilities will be here if you choose to use them.

  • Portable Jump Pad: Spawns a pad to bounce players in the air.
  • Quick Dodge: Dodge quickly in four directions
  • Quick Healing: Regain 50 HP quickly

Best Tactic Shard Cards

Tactic Cards are bonuses that are activated by spending Shard Points. Points are earned passively throughout the match.

  • Headshot Master: Increases headshot damage
  • Time to Snipe: Increases damage at long range
  • Turtleback: Equip a turtle on your back to block bullets
